I am 薛金伟, and I use Jim Xue professionally. For many years I used Kerwin online, so that name still appears in this domain, my public accounts, and some older projects. They all refer to me.

My path runs from automation and computer technology into neuroengineering. Today I mainly work in scientific instrumentation support, especially neuroscience and electrophysiology systems.

I am not trying to package myself as a particular kind of “expert.” What I like more is solving real problems: when equipment fails, I reproduce, inspect, and isolate; when a test tool is missing, I try to make one; once things are clear, I turn the process into documentation, training, or notes.

This site will not be only about work. Over time it will also keep travel photos, life records, things I am learning, earlier projects, and occasional writing.

For me, kerwinxue.top is both a professional introduction and a long-term place to keep my experiences and work.

我并不太想把自己包装成某一种“专家”。相比这些标签，我更喜欢动手解决实际问题：设备出了问题就去复现、检查和排查；需要测试工具时就想办法做一个；弄明白之后，再把过程整理成文档、培训或笔记。

这个网站也不会只有工作。这里会慢慢留下我的旅行、生活照片、学习记录、以前做过的项目，以及偶尔想写下来的东西。

对我来说，kerwinxue.top 既是一张职业名片，也是一个长期保存自己经历和作品的地方。
